ESA support group confirmed. P45 expected ?

ESA support group confirmed. P45 expected ? was created by MSHusband

A few weeks ago we received notice that my wife was being placed in the support group, following our submission of the ESA50.

Today, she has received a P45 (wrongly spelled !). Is this to be expected. I presume it's because IB wasn't taxable, and ESA is ?

Your assumption is correct. See:-

My IB was tax exempt; will it still be under ESA?
