Would you appeal? Got my new award ! was created by paula7777
Hello just wondered if I should appeal , I have been on HRC and LRM for 4 years 2 seperate claims awarded for 2 years.
Got my renewal back today and have now got LRM anb MRC awarded for 5 years.
The award says i can manage my night time care needs myself slowly and do not need the night time care component
most of my care needs are night time based to be honest I did but this on the form.
I am pleased at my 5 year award just do not know whether to appeal as my circumstance has not changed and do not understand why my award did not stay the same???
Thanks for any replies

Paragraphs 3 and 5 of the FAQ entitled "Is there any risk to challenging a decision?" will be relevant to your particular circumstances.

Hi Paula,
We cannot advise whether or not you should appeal, that decision can only be made by you, preferably with 'face to face' advice from a benefits adviser with good experience of DLA and appeals who will have access to your case files which we don't.
Your local CAB should be able to assist you or see : Benefits Adviser and Where to get legal advice
Good luck.
