I'm not sure this is correct, as the ESA descriptors are very different from the IB criteria. I'm sure a more experienced/knowledgeable mod will be along to comment at some stage.

Can i ask if you know this for certain, i can see where you,re coming from, but i,m thinking if this was the case then they would do it automatically , i hope you are right about it though.

I'm sure you are trying to be of assistance to the OP, but there is no correlation between the length of time a claimant has been receiving IB and their eligibility for the Support Group.Hello 10tilt. If you have successfully claimed IB for over 20 years then you should, feasibly, have qualified for the Support Group of ESA which is not restricted to the 365 day rule and also not affected by your husband's work. I would seriously consider an appeal to the Support Group if I were you, the Work Related Group suggests they expect you to be fit enough to return to some sort of employement sometime soon - is this a true probability after 20 years on IB unless you have improved substantially. Hope this helps.
