Sent my appeal form and sick note special delivery tuesday 17/7/12 to the Birmingham office the pre paid envolope address it,s taken till now had to ring Royal Mail because i could,nt track and trace it online, apparrently it arrived yesterday morning at the Sunderland office, which was,nt the address on the letter or envolope, it was signed for, but wondering whats that all about.

Perhaps the DWP have a re-direct on the address, the Royal Mail should be able to tell you.

Thanks Gordon, its all confusing to me, the address on the back of the envolope was Belfast if for some reason it had to be returned to sender,
So yes i,m all shook up.

Just a question to all Mods,
Are you suppose to receive any kind of notification from DWP that they have received your GL24, if so how long is it generally before you hear from them, as i have,nt heard a thing yet, even the council have sent me a letter stating the B agency have,nt updated their records yet.

The DWP should acknowledge receipt of your appeal. However, like everything else, this bit of administration is not always occuring as it should.If you have not heard after a couple of weeks, you would probably be better off ringing them to check what is happening.
