Phoned DWP this morning, as no ESA assessment rate money was in my bank, passed from pillar to post , they could,nt understand why, said they had received appeal and fit notes, said that they had,nt confirmed to me that they recieved it , said they did,nt need to, told me they would call back today i,m still waiting for the call, but more worrying is the fact i have,nt received any payment.
Is it right they do not have to acknowledge that you have appealed ?

My understanding is that the DWP should always confirm in writing that they have received a request for appeal, however, I cannot find a reference for this.Hi to all Mods,

With regard your payments, it is possible that you missed the "run" that does the payments, if this is the case then the DWP should be able to do a manual transfer.
Unfortunately, you need to speak to someone to understand what the situation actually is.

The DWP "should" aknowledge receipt of an appeal.
However what they "should" do and what they are actually doing is a different matter.
I would always advise people to include a written request for confimation of receipt of any documentation sent to the DWP, and once I was sure that it had in fact been delivered, I would recontact them in writing every 7 days until I received confirmation.

You can of course complain CV.
Complaining to the DWP
Good luck with this "saga".
