Compensation from DWP was created by Magic
I have not posted for some time but have had a massive 'run around' from DWP. Renewal of ESA50 in January wasnot sorted until May. Went to MP and he got unsatisfactory reply from JCP. Wrote to DWP, after getting into support group, to ask for explanation. Last week a two page letter arrived admitting bad practice and offering £50 in compensation. The letter only tracks the mistakes from March when I had to resubmit the Janiary ESA 50.
Is this a first?. £5000 wouldn't cover the stress but admitting negligence is a start.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Well, it isn't a 'first' - but it is still unusual for DWP to admit fault!

I also got a sort of appology from DWP and a cheque for £50, which I didnt ask for or want. I just want them to know what its like to wait for the post everyday except Sunday for 6 months and the stress that causes.
