GP fees - report for ESA was created by Survivor
I have asked my GP for a report to go with my ESA50 in support of reg29(2)(b) and reg 35(2)(a)(b) exceptions. I am aware that this falls outside the GP NHS contract.
Could anyone here who's had a report from their GP either in support of an ESA50 or in support of their claim in some other way, for example in support of an appeal, give me an idea of the going rate for this?
My GP is a decent guy and doesn't ask for payment for things like this but he's looked after me very well over the years and I don't want to take advantage of his goodwill by asking for a report and not offering the going rate for it.
I shall also consider the figures on the BMA website, but these are for reports in general not for ESA reports.

Hi there
I don't know what the going rate is but our GP charged £30 - for a page and a bit - but he said everything we needed it to say to support our appeal - I guss it depends on the GP

Thanks, Issie and Carole. My GP doesn't charge for things like this but he's had to do other reports for me in respect of work and I feel that it's not fair to take advantage of his goodwill by not at least offering to pay a fee. He can always turn it down if he wishes.

£20 to £30 is what most would charge.
