Is this the norm please was created by lolabolla
I had my Atos assessment this week and also had it recorded as I requested.
The assessor asked the usual questions, which I was prepared for thanks to B&W
Then after approx. 30 minutes he said that he would not be conducting a physical assessment as he did not think it neccessary and he also said that he would be recommending that DWP put me in the support group.
I mentioned that I was worried that he was not performing the physical part of the assessment as it may be seen that I was not willing to comply (in my foggy brain I forgot that it was being recorded dohh)
I am just very dubious, I thought that I would not know what the decision would be untill I had the report through.
Also should I request a copy of the report that the assessor is submitting.
Thanks x

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi lolabolla,
Whilst the HCP opinion is only advisory, it is unusual thse days for the DWP Decision Maker to go against it.
You can request a copy of the report after you have been notified of the decision
ESA medical – what forms to ask for

Thankyou for your response Mrs Hurtyback
I think that maybe I am just so shocked at actually being believed by the assessor that I can't quite get over that everything went so smoothly.
There were no problems with my request to have it recorded and I was also allowed to have a P.M. appointment rather than the original A.M. one.
The advice on B&W has been very helpfull especially when I was completing the ESA50
I will deffinately be requesting a copy of the report when I have received the official notification from DWP about my award and I will keep you posted.
