No ESA/JSA = no HB either, it's now suggested

Yup, I know it's old ground and I know HB isn't passported so it's a no-income benefit as well as a low income benefit. I know this, it's established and I know the mods know it too. I'm hearing now though of people being denied HB as the relevant forms don't allow for no income at all and so claims for HB on that basis can't be processed. What to do, or advise people to do under those circumstances, I wonder? Whole new ballgame after next April of course but we'd better hope we never have to have that discussion :-)

I'm afraid as we do not cover Housing Benefit on this forum, we are not in a position to comment.
