Hi
Does anyone know how the point system works when you have a medical? how many points are required for the support group, workrelated group and JSA group.
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You need at east 15 points to be awarded ESA*. This will put you into the Work Related Group unless you meet the specific criteria for the Support Group (which is not points based). The is no 'JSA group' - people who fail the ESA assessment can claim JSA if they meet the criteria ( NI contributions and well enough to seek work).
* On the whole, although it is possible to get through under the 'special circumstances' descriptor

I assume that you were awarded ESa under the 'special circumstances' descriptor that I mentioned in my previous post. What do you mean when you ask what you should do?
