Hi

I'm trying to work out how much my payments for ESA should have increased to when i was moved from wrag to support group eariler this year. The move is still non-promulgated.

I'm a bit confused about what payments constitute the full sum for wrag and SG . I have seen your FAQ
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claim...m-faq/esa-faq#ESA110
and your links to:
www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/Fina...AndSupport/DG_068683
and also i have consulted :
www.nhs.uk/CarersDirect/moneyandlegal/ot...es/ESA-how-much.aspx

 The government website doesn't state that placement in the support group is grounds for qualifying for enhanced disability premium where B&W and NHS does.

:silly: Also B&W doesnt mention additonal component amounts of wrag or support group which the NHS site refers to.

The figures i have come up with below is for a single person 2012-2013 (also in receipt of DLA low rate mobility and middle rate care)
Could you confab and feedback if this is correct ?

wrag :
£71 main phase payment
£28 additional component (what the law says you need to live on.)
TOTAL : £99 PW

support group
£71 main phase payment
£34 additional component (what the law says you need to live on.)
TOTAL : £105
PLUS:
£14.80 enhanced disability premium (for being in the support group)
TOTAL : 119.20 PW

which makes a difference of £20.20 PW

thanks for your time.

I am afraid we cannot "claculate" what payments you should be receiving, there are too many variables to provide you with an accurate answer. You can either get face to face advice from your local CAB or Welfare Rights office, or try using one of the online benefit calculators, there is one at DirectGov and also at the Turn2Us site.

Your payements can be effected by whether you receive Income Related or Contribution Based ESA, and whether you are part of a couple. The ESA Premiums are only payable with ESA(IR).
