We went to see a benifits advice officer the other day, he advised us to get a review of my husbands benefits, at the moment he gets HR mobility and MR care. He is also in receipt of incapacity benefit and income support. His needs have changed and he know needs much more care in the night. I have to help him to and from the bathroom to use the toilet and also so that he can wash out his mouth. The reason being, he has to take meds which make his muscles very weak and he needs my support and help. The meds he is on for his illness' cause him to have an extremely dry mouth and this means he needs to wash out his mouth several times a night. This also then means that I have to help him back into bed and to get comfortable, this then starts the whole process of getting him settled again, which can take anything from 20 mins/ 30mins. This happens every night.

Hi s,
We are really not in a position to advise you whether or not you should seek a DLA review.
The Benefits Advice Officer should risk assess your case before advising you either way.
As you may be aware if you request a review, the whole of your claim will be looked at again, so there is some risk involved, in that your current award could be lost or reduced.
Have a look at :
