By a miracle, I have managed to return my esa50 form in time. However, I had made a start many months ago as I knew I would be paralysed by anxiety when the form arrived. My anxiety is so severe that I had to stop reading your posts as this made me worse. I now have a brief lull while my form is being looked by either or both the DWP or ATOS (I am confused about this). I wish to use this time to gain some knowledge about what may or may not lie ahead of me so that I can attempt to prepare for it. I know nothing about the powers of Jobcentre staff at Work Focused Interviews. I have read the information in your FAQs but this is brief and general. Is there any detailed guidance as to what they can do. I read somewhere that there is such a thing as a condition management programme but have no idea what this is. I think one of the likely requirements for me will be to undergo computer training at an adult education class but I have reasons why this will not be possible. Is there any power that a specialist computer and training could be provided at home. I imagine that this would only be possible if there is an offer of work. I feel that I should be put in the Support Group rather than WRAG but I believe that the consequence of being in the Support Group is that there is then no help whatsoever. If I am awarded ESA it will be contribution based and will end after 1 year unless I am in the Support Group.

Hi D1,

As stated in our : Work Focussed Interviews FAQ,

"There is no specific definition of what constitutes Work Related Activity and therefore there is no specific agenda for a WFI"

However, the JCP adviser should taylor any requirements to your limited capabilities.

Work Programme

With regards to which type of ESA you may be transferred to CB ESA or IR ESA, this will depend on which benefit/s that you are in receipt of pre-migration, see :

What will I be transferred to?

&

What will I be paid?
