ESA Personal Adviser Interview was created by Kummerzz
Have any of the members been in a similar position - I am awaiting a reply from the DM as I asked for my decision to be looked at again. Do I have to attend the interview with the personal adviser at the job centre? If I do not attend can DWP withdraw all of my benefit or just the extra money because I am currently in the WRAG and not the support group which I hope the DM will put me in when DM looks at the decision again.

Hi B,

WFI's can be deferred, or even carried out over the phone or at your home.

However the options above are totally at the discretion of the JCP Adviser, and not a given right.

With regards to sanctions for failure to comply.

If you can not show "good cause", the following sanctions can be applied by the DWP DM :

See this post :

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?func=vie...id=10&id=91135#91136

These sanctions/deductions would only apply to the Work Related Activity Component part of your ESA.
