Does the question staying conscious when awake also take into account, when taking really strong medication and fall asleep without knowing it, fit in with this question or does itmean like fits ,blackout etc,thank you.

I think the argument is that this does not apply on the grounds that the questions says 'when awake' and one is not awake whilst asleep!

Hi m,
As MHB states, it seems that they do not class being asleep as losing consciouness.
However, if you feel that it limits your capabilities, as a side effect of taking medication, I believe that it is still worth mentioning.
You should mention any limitations and side effects that you may suffer.

Thank you for your help, after reading somewhere else on the forum, would you advise sending the ESA50 form to atos and a copy of the ESA50 form to the DWP? I cannot remember reading this in the guides also.
