ESA Medical was created by mellynda50
My husband is currently on HR/HC DLA and has been asked to go for a Medical for ESA, the problem we have is that he is unable to sit up or stand for even the shortest of time. Are we allowed to ask for a home visit for the medical, otherwise we are going to have a big problem.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Yes you can request a home assessment, you will need the support of your GP as ATOS will expect them to provide evidence that a home assessment is required, however, be aware that ATOS are not required to provide a home assessment. My husband is currently on HR/HC DLA and has been asked to go for a Medical for ESA, the problem we have is that he is unable to sit up or stand for even the shortest of time. Thank-you Gordon, also he has a bit of a complicated illness, because he is on HRM/HRC DLA would he be exempted from the medical or not
