statement of reasons etc was created by Melanie Tudor
Hi,
(can't find this on FAQ)
I am going to write to DWP to request ESA85a and all records between Atos and decision maker/score sheets etc.
What I want to know is:
1) Will my requesting this automatically trigger an appeal process their end - I don't want to appeal (I am happy with decision made but want an idea of how they assessed me so that I am more prepared next time)
2) Who do I address the letter to, and do I send a copy to the Atos HQ and my local benefit office who deal with my payments.
Many thanks indeed

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

MC
1. It won't trigger an appeal.
2. Write to the DWP office that deals with your claim, you don;t need to mark it for the attention of anyone in particular, just make sure that your name and National Insurance Number are included.

Sorry to be dim, but does this mean that I don't send it to Atos in Cardiff (where the forms are returned), but I do send it to my local benefit office in Wrexham who deal with my payments?

Send it to wherever you have sent the forms - Cardiff in your case.

ATOS do not retain any of your documents, they are all returned to the DWP once the WCA assssment is completed.Sorry to be dim, but does this mean that I don't send it to Atos in Cardiff (where the forms are returned), but I do send it to my local benefit office in Wrexham who deal with my payments?
