At last I've got my report. was created by Pompom
I had a atos medical in june and felt it went ok and found out about one month later that I'd been put in the return to work related group and wouldhave allowance for 365 days. However, I felt that I should have been put into the support group due to acrophobia and Degenerative back problems (and others> I did point out that I was also waiting for an MRI scan of my neck. However I was worried that the atos officer didn't seem concerned so when I received the letter informing me of their decision, I wrote to the DWP for his report. However, after three weeks still no report, my sister phoned them and they promised to send the report. Three weeks of waiting and still nothing, my sister called again to a sympathetic assistant who has now sent me one and I've now received it. I cannot believe it! My symptoms have been played down so much! Since this "medical" I have since had the MRI scan and it revealed a number of degenerative discs in my neck. Can I appeal?

Hi P,

As you only have one month to appeal after receiving written notice of your ESA award, if you wish to, you should do so ASAP.

You can download the GL24 appeal form from the link on this page :

How to submit an appeal

You do not have to go into any great detail initially, simply stating that you disagree with the decision and wish to appeal, and that you will provide further evidence as soon as it is available, should suffice.

This will register your appeal, and protect your right to appeal.
