An 85a/Support & 'not quite right' + what happens was created by apples6
Dear B&W
1 If one is put into the support group without a medical
and then gets the 85a form and find that whilst the
Atos/nurse has put 'qualified ' for support due one to condition/
descriptor 'eg being applicable for support group HOWEVER has also
not even made any mention of another desciptor/condition
descriptor earlier in the formeven though this is also a support group descriptor
what is the situation? Does it have any effect for the future if/when reassessment comes next year will the lack of the
2nd descriptorfor support on the form 85a or for dla(pip when it comes be an issue??)
2.
Has anyone/is it possible to be reassesed a 2nd time without
a medical just by the aperwork evidence?
many thanks wise ones G wishes

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It seems to be the norm for the assessment to be discontinued once it is clear that the claimant reaches the threshold for ESA or Support Group. They do not look any further after that.

Hi a6,
Well done on getting into the support group.
MHB has answered your first question, in answer to your second. Yes, it is possible to be placed into the support group on a second assessment without the need for a face to face assessment.
