ESA Appeal disallowed was created by fighterpilot
HELP! I'm finding this forum hard to use so if this post is in the wrong place, please move it if necessary. Apologies, but i just can't suss it out. My Atos medical assessment was Nov 2011. Failed - and so i began the appeals process. 0 points at the medical and 0 points at my appeal hearing which was last Fiday. Got the letter today to say i've been disallowed. 11 months now between failing Atos medical and failing to win appeal. What to do now? Someone on this forum suggested that i should make a fresh claim for ESA since there's been 11 months since i failed the Atos medical. My doctor gave me a 6 month sick line today and i've downloaded the ESA claim form. Is this what i should do? Or sign on? But if i sign on i'm saying i'm fit for work. I'm really not though. I'm very distressed and appreciate any help or opinions.

Thank you all.

You can reapply for ESA as long as there has been at least 6 months since the original decision was made - so you certainly fit that criterion. I suggest that you make full use of our ESA guides in order to give yourself the best chance of avoiding a repeat of this unfavourable decision.

I notice you've only been on the forum a couple of days, the following FAQ may help you get around the site more easily.
