We've downloaded the excellent guides and are currently filling in another ESA50 form. Forum threads suggest that its advisable to send a copy direct to the DWP. BUT to whom do we address it to and would it be a regional office ?

Hi fd,
The option of sending a copy of the ESA50 + extra evidence to the DWP DM, as well as ATOS is purely discretionary, and not obligatory.
This may done as a "failsafe" to ensure that the DWP DM has access to you ESA50 etc, as it is the DWP DM who actually makes the decision. Therefore, it could prove to be advantageous, if your ESA50, etc went missing at the ATOS end.
You should address any copy : FAO The ESA Decision Maker, at the address of the benefits office on any letters pertaining to your ESA.
It is advisable to put you name, NINO and DOB on any extra pages.
Your NINO and postcode should ensure that it is diverted to the correct DM.
