Contributary ESA is not affected by savings or earnings. Income related ESA will be reduced with savings above £6000 and stopped above £16000 (as long as the claimant/partner's income and working hours fit the criteria). I'm afraid that we do not deal with queries regarding Housing or Council Tax benefit.

Hi WD,

See also : Asset rule for ESA(IR)

Being entitled to even 1 penny of IR ESA should passport your entitlement to such other benefits as HB, CTB, free prescriptions and dental care.

Of course you would only receive IR ESA if you can pass the means test, assets, capital and income rules.
