My husband submitted an appeal because he gained 12 points after the medical. He has now received a letter (dated 12 November), telling him they will pay him at the assessment rate of ESA from 27th October, until they are notifed by the Tribunals Services of the outcome of the appeal.
Can you tell me is this just routine, or could we take this as a good indication that he may succeed in his appeal?
Also, do you know how long it takes for the payments to start being paid in again? Haven't received anything so far.

I am afraid that this is routine, you cannot draw any inference from it. Don't forget to send in 'fit notes' from your GP to cover this period.
As far as I am aware, payment usually happens pretty quickly - although it seems that every department of DWP is seriously ov erburdened and working slowly at the moment
