ESA and work focused interview was created by Podbrdo
I have been put in the work related activity group and today received a date for an interview. However, I submitted a request that the decision be reviewed and I have not had an answer. Has anyone else been in this situation? They tell me that I still have to attend the interview.

I am afraid that appealing to be placed in the Support Group, does not excuse you from attending WFI's however, you can request that they be deferred, held over the phone, or in the extreme, held in your home, however, it is at the discretion of your JC+ advisor as to whether they allow any of these.
If you are considering an appeal I would recommend you read our ESA Appeal guide
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa
and review the following FAQs
Is there any risk to challenging a decision?
How long do I have to appeal?
How to submit an appeal
Qualifying for the Support Group
Disability Rights UK Factsheet - Appeals and reconsiderations
12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)
Do I have to attend WFIs while I appeal?
