Been a member for over a year now & have found your site invaluable for both myself & family, friends who were unable to complete their forms themselves. I have been trying to find help to complete a DLA form for a person who alcohol related disorders & OCD. Could you point me in the right direction as I have searched & have not been able to find anything. Thank-you Poppy

The guides do not really concentrate on a particular condition or conditions, so if you are looking for information specific to alcoholism and OCD you may need to go further afield, however, the basic approach to claiming DLA for these conditions is no different from any other, you need to show that the claimant has sufficient Care and/or Mobility needs to qualify for the benefit.
Case law is covered in the following fact sheet
www.disabilityrightsuk.org/dlalaw.htm
The DWP view
www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/specialist-g...-conditions/alcohol/
I hope this helps
