After nearly 17 years on Incapacity Benefit, I was migrated to ESA WRAG without a medical and have appealed as I meet Support Group descriptors.
I seem to be receiving less money than I was on IB so wondered if anyone could tell me how transitional protection would appear on the entitlement letter?

Very grateful, thank you.
We have just closed the forum for the afternoon, it re-opens at 8pm, so some of our members may be able to provide you with more accurate information, but as I understand it it should appear as a seperate entry on the list of payments.
The way that the Transitional Payment should work is that your ESA is calculated in the normal manner and if it is lower than your previous IB payment, then a Transitional Payment is added.
I do not know of any exceptions to this, so if there appears to be a discrepancy, you should contact your local DWP office.
