Should I mention this on DLA form? was created by Katykat
I asked for a supersession of my low care DLA due to a worsening of arthritis. At present I am listing my conditions and I have a problem that isn't actually an illness but it has a huge effect on me. I am going through the menopause and along with hot flushes in the day I am having several night sweats each night. Sometimes It is so bad that my clothes and sheets need changing. However because my joints stiffen up during the night my husband has to help me get up and he changes the sheets. I realise that EVENTUALLY (

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Oh, I don't know what happened there. I was supposed to say that although the hot sweats will eventually ease ( !!!!!!????) nevertheless it is a problem right now. So, should it be included in my DLA form?

You can include anything that you believe to be relevant, however, the DWP Decision Maker will only be able to consider your conditions(s) in context to your care and mobility needs, where you have been suffering from a problem for three months and could reasonably be expected to do so for a further six, so you will need to show this is the case for these hot sweats.
