I know I need to ask for the statement of reasons within one month but surely that is one month from the date of the letter of notification. I need to wait on them sending an initial letter to my partner first letting him know that it has been adjourned. My partner simply cannot cope with the prospect of another hearing - that will be 4 from September. I already had to write complaining about the first legally qualified member as she was so rude and they asked me more than my partner questions when I had only accompanied him as his rep had pulled out at the last minute due to another commitment. When I wrote for the reasons on that occassion that was when we found out it had been set aside - had i not written to them they would not have told us it was set aside and we would just have thought he had been turned down as that what the initial letter said. The second hearing he had he took a barrister with him and because his GP was so lax they didn't receive his medical records on time despite every possible piece of medical evidence in their possession already as we have given them copies of all speicialist letters. The third hearing was February and they were in over an hour and the legally qualified member DID NOT say it was adjourned he simply said we have heard enough and have a lot to go through here thanks for attending. The only reason we found out it was adjourned was when our barrister called the appeals service last Friday and she was told then and yet we still have no letter of notification. Does the legally qualified member have a timescale to stick to after a hearing e.g. must they reply to the appeals service within days/weeks/months?

There will be no Statement of Reasons unless a Decision has been made, nor will there be a letter of notification for this very same reason.

I note from one of your previous posts, that a previous hearing was adjourned because the medical records are not available, so I assume that this was resolved for this hearing and is therefore not the reason why this one was.

With no additional information to hand, I can only assume the reasons why the case was adjourned and a Decision was not made, you need to get the RoP.
