ESA50 response time from atos

Hi i filled in an Esa50 for my husband (IB/ESA) it was delivered to atos mid January and my husband has heard nothing 2 (months). Yet my father sent his Esa50 at the same time give or take a day and he was given a medical within 5 days? Is it "Normal" for one claimant to receive a medical within 5 days and another claimant in the same area to hear nothing for 2 months?
should i phone atos to arrange a medical or just leave things for now?

Hi juad,

Comparisons cannot be made in how long the ESA WCA process will take, from sending in ones ESA50, to hearing about a face to face assessment, or receiving a decision.

Quite a lot of claimants do not have to attend a "medical", and are assessed on the paper evidence provided.

You will continue to be paid IB until you are notified regarding a decision.

So if you are happy that ATOS received the ESA50, the ball is firmly in their court.
