british bulldog wrote: hi all, after being awarded support group without need for f2f medical i requested all documents used in reaching this decision as advised on this forum, today i have received ESA85A form and it says as follows , client meets support group criteria as they are suffering from specific disease or bodily or mental disablement and by reasons of such disease there would be a substantial risk to the mental or physical health of any person if they were found not to have a LCWRA. then under neath it says prognosis , i have advised that work is unlikely in the longer term. but it fails to say any exact award as in 8 months, 12 months etc. so my question is when can i expect a new esa50 form to complete. thanks for your help. cheers bb.
Hi bb,
Well done on the SG award !!!

It sounds like you have qualified for The SG under The Exceptional Circumstances Rules, as at ESA Regulation 35 :
ESA Reg 35 for entry to The SG (LCWRA)
One would therefore assume that they felt that you did not qualify for The SG under any of The Functional Descriptors :
SG (LCWRA) Descriptors
In the longer term "Generally" gives a prognosis of around 2 years. (3 years being the longest)
The only way to be certain, is to write and ask how long your prognosis is. This period may also be recorded on The LT54, see :
ESA medical – what forms to ask for?
ESA Forms
You could phone up the DWP, they may have the prognosis on-screen.
However, if you want written verification you would have to formally request it.
Once you are aware of the prognosis, you should expect to receive a new ESA50 2 to 3 months before that date.
