Income related ESA or carers allowance

It all depends on your circumstances, so my recommendation is that you try and get face to face advice.

Being on ESA does not preclude you from claiming Carers Allowance, but may not result in any additional payment being made, you would also need to consider whether it is consistent with your stated limitations.

Usually , when you claim CA, you would be eligible for Income Support as well, but the income rules are the same as ESA(IR), so your pension might negate any payments, however, you are not required to claim IS, just leaving the CA in payment.
