My husband has received the esa50 form for his transfer to esa. He suffers from ankylosing spondylitis. i have trawled the internet trying to find some help with filling in the form for this condition, but there does not seem to be any information out there. Can anyone help? Also have tried searching Benefits and Work site but nothing specifically related to this condition.
Many thanks.

ESA is not awarded as a result of a claimant having a particular condition, but rather tests the limitations that result from that condition, you may find something more specific if there is a charity website in the UK for this condition, but I doubt it.
Have another look at our ESA Claim guides, they explain how to explain your husband's limitations in the context of the ESA descriptors. It is important that you do this, because if he does not score sufficient points or meet the requirements of the Support Group, his claim may be closed.
If you have specific questions, please reply to this topic.
