DLA Appeal was created by Rojaneva
After being in receipt of DLA (lower rate care, higher rate of mobility) for very many years, I have lost all components of this for the past two years and struggled ever since to get it reinstated. My most recent claim was towards the end of last year, which was dismissed completely out of hand and without even a Doctors visit! My appeal therefore is looming fast and I just wondered if anyone out there can give me any advice/tips on hopefully how to be successful for a change. I have a long-standing chronic back condition, poor circulation in both my hands and feet, depression/anxiety/stress issues, Copd. Over the past 4 years or so I have also great difficulty with my legs and struggle to walk even short distances. Despite Xrays, Mri's, nerve conductive tests and whatever, no evidence can be found as to the cause and am therefore being regarded as a "fraud" by the DWP. Trust me, there is nothing I would like more than to be able The last time I attended an Appeal Hearing it absolutely destroyed me mentally and I was reduced to a quivering wreck - even my Mental Health Support Worker (who attended with me) found it to be harrowing.
I am currently trying to survive on just Incap. Benefit, whilst having to pay Council Tax, interest on my mortgage plus all the usual day to day living costs.
Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I assume as you have been a member for a while that you have used our guides to make your DLA claims.
The immediate thing that stands out from your post is that you talk about your conditions, but not your Care needs, so you might want to shift your focus to thinking about these, as this will be what the Tribunal panel will be asking you about.
With regard to your mobility, have a look in the DLA section of the Members area, there is guide that covers mobility and how to present your walking problems.
