Transfer from IB to ESA was created by jayjay
Just got the ESA50 form and have a supporting letter from my GP that states after describing my illness that I'm 'moderately disabled'. Does anyone know this will be interpreted by the DWP?
I receive DLA HR indefinite that was reassessed 3 years ago in the pilot. Is it worth stating this on the ESA50 form?
Thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You can state anything that you think might help! However, there are only a couple of places where DLA and ESA coincide so it is not always helpful.
Don't foget that you must show how you meet the ESA descriptors and you should try to provide evidence that backs this up. If your GP letter provides this kind of information it would be helpful. Just a comment that you are 'moderately disabled' would not be enough to get you into even the WRAG - don't forget that many people with disabilities work, so the Government thinks that everyone should!

The one that springs to mind is the mobility requirements, although even then they are more rigorous for ESA than DLA. I suggest that you make good use of the guides on this site.
