Quick question - Worst Day Scenario was created by Phenom_inal
When filling out the ESA 50 for a fluctuating illness with more bad days than good, should it be completed as on a bad day as I note from the DLA Tip 2 email I received today that, for DLA, this is bad advice and I was just wondering if it is the same for ESA.

Hi P,

With ESA, it is whether you can carry out the activities for the "Majority" of the time.

Therefore, if you have more "Bad Days" than "Good Days" then this would apply.

See my post from earlier on :

This is also explained in our ESA Claims Guides, and The WCA Handbook, on this page :

I have not seen the tip you are referring to, but I would expect it to have said worst, rather than bad, there being a considerable difference between the two. Whether it be for DLA or ESA, a claimant should not complete the claim form based on their worst day, although that does not mean you should document what you are like on your worst day.
