Success - Confirmation of reassessment date

Brief resume of my ‘journey’; long term IB, transferred to ESA WRAG June 2012 for 2 years following ATOS assessment, appealed the decision, felt I should be in SG, reconsideration October 2012, no change. Won appeal end of Feb 2013, with the recommendation I should not be reassessed for 24 months from the date of Tribunal.

I decided to pursue when my next assessment would be. I was unable to submit much current medical evidence with the initial ESA50, an up to date report from my Physiotherapist was ignored and the ESA 113 completed by my new GP simply said he did not know me well enough to comment, not much help there. I want to be in a position to include as much current medical evidence as possible when I am reassessed to hopefully avoid the lottery of an ATOS assessment, getting evidence within the time frame for completing the ESA50 can be difficult, hence my need to know the date.

Initial phone call to the DWP simply said I had been placed in SG for 2 years, would not comment when I asked 2 years from when!! First letter to the DWP, no response, second letter sent recorded delivery. I received a reply within one week confirming that my next assessment is due end of Feb 2015, 2 years from the Tribunal date. They did point out that the assessment process will start approximately 2 months prior to the date.

Maybe the DWP are beginning to take notice of recommendations in Tribunal decisions.
