The confusing part is that on the last page it discloses payment dates and states that the new payment starts on 4th june to 25th november. Does this mean that I will have to go through the claim process again at that date as was under the impression that being placed in the support group that I would not have to be re-assessed? this is stressful for me.
Hi k,
Congratulations on The SG award, and thank you for your kind words.

The letter that you are citing is The ESA Award Decision Notice letter.
The dates that you quote are purely for administration purposes only, and not the length of The SG award. This letter does not contain the prognosis.
The November date seems to be as a result of the Xmas Bonus, which may or may not be payable.
Every ESA award comes with a recommended length of award before reassessment. (The Prognosis)
This should be included on the ESA85A medical report that would have been generated by the assessing ATOS HCP, who recommended The SG award.
You can ring the number on the Decision Notice letter, and request copy of The ESA85A. It is highly probable that they will have the prognosis of the award "on-screen" so they may be able to tell you there and then.
If you have problems obtaining the ESA85A, you can back up any verbal request in writing.
I am afraid that all ESA awards come with a prognosis, even in The SG.
The longest prognosis is 3 years.
See : How often will I be reviewed

No mention of prognosis in letter from DWP. I am 62 yrs old and have not worked since an accident at work in 1989, they state in the letter that I am not capable of work hence placed in the SG.
Again thanks for your response and support.

Hi k,
No, it does not include the prognosis in The SG Decision Notice letter.
You would have to request this, as advised in my first post.
