Hi m1983,
As CB ESA is taxable, this is quite normal.
Whether you would be liable to pay any tax would depend on your personal tax allowance and any other taxable income that you may have.
I have received a P45

Hi m1983,
You don't have to have had a job prior to being transferred to ESA.
I note from your previous posts that some part of your ESA may be CB ESA, if so, that is classed as taxable income.
Just because it is classed as taxable income, does not mean that you would have to pay any tax. As previously stated that would only be the case if your CB ESA plus any other taxable income put you over your personal threshold/tax free allowance.
Except for certain exempt claimants, IB was also classed as taxable income.
My IB was tax exempt; will it still be under ESA?
