the tribunals service have lost or misslaid our details at an appeal and it seems they are having problems issuing a statement of reasons that we have requested.

its been a few months and still no more word from them.

whats the likely outcome if this information is lost?

I am not sure that there is a definitive answer to this.

If pushed I would say that justice must not just be done, but must be seen to be done, so if the Tribunal is unable to justify it's Decision because they are unable to produce a Statement of Reasons, then this may undermine the actual Decision.

However, these are matters outside of our area of expertise on the forum, so if this remains a problem then you are going to get advice from an advisor with training and experience in this are, the good news is that Legal Aid is still in place for appeals to the Upper Tribunal.

Where to get advice?

I would certainly recommend that you contact the TS to get the current status of this request, it would be all to easy for any actions required to be lost in the maze of administration processes.
