Hi all,I've heard from someone that if a person who has sixty percent or over industrial injuries benefit could be excused from the esa tests, tried looking online but couldn't find anything.

Hi p67,
Being in receipt of any other benefit/allowance at any level does not give exemption from The ESA WCA.
On the old system with The PCA, certain claimants were PCA exempt, there is no such scenario with ESA.

I am afraid that there is no such exemption, it is possible that someone with 60% IIDB may not be required to attend a face to face assessment, but even then it would likely be on a case by case basis, you should certainly expect to have to complete an ESA50.

I must say as well that I think the whole esa is unfair on claimants who have worked and have a small pension compared with someone who due to their circumstances hasn't worked,it fells like I'm being punished for working and having a works pension that by the way still pays income tax on it,they the dss and atos know these things and place most people in these circumstances in the Wrag group knowing that they have a very good chance of removing these claimants,I've been on ib since 1995 and there is no way that I could hold down a job and they know that but the goalposts have been moved again,I will never trust a politician ever again they do not know how much heartache these things cause and I hope they get more sleep at night than I do.
