Atos medical was created by sophie

Firstly I wish to express huge appreciation to all involved in the great site. I am due to have a medical on 10th june, if passed fit for work where does that leave me as i have submitted a med.cert to DWP it lasts until 29th july, will med.cert be over ruled? Also just to say my initial medical was cancelled by atos because and I quote ' The doctor who was due to examine you is off sick as he broke his wrist' found that very strange wonder if he know atos were telling people what was wrong with him??? any advice would be greatly appreciated, many thanks
Also as BMA state atos not fit for purpose why are medicals still being carried out ???

The law is not entirely clear in regard to Fit Notes and a Fit for Work Decision, our advice, on the assumption that you appeal, is that you get a new Fit Note covering you from the date your ESA ceases, hopefully this will not be required.

As to your other points, I do not think we can comment.

I can't help wondering if the doctor off sick with a broken wrist had to apply for ESA. If he did, would he need to attend a 'medical' with ATOS? If so wouldn't it be ironic if he was found fit to work, or made to go on a work programme!
