Dont know what to do now was created by Honeybear
I completed my ESA50 Form and posted it Recorded delivery back to Atos on 21.5.13, deadline is tomorrow. I've been using the trace & track service from Royal mail since 25.5.13 and it shows that it is still being progressed for delivery. I've been in touch with Royal mail but they are not very helpful, as a claim can only be made from 10.6.13. I'am starting to panic, as Atos are very good in stopping benefit and I would be left with nothing. Is there anything I can do?

I had this problem a couple of times when sending things via recorded delivery. On each occasion the envelope had been delivered but was still showing on the RM computer as being in the system.

If using Royal Mail's special delivery service (next day signed-for delivery guaranteed), claimants may wish to take advantage of the 'bolt-on' insurance that is seldom volunteered by the post office counter staff. Known as Consequential Loss, this extra insurance will provide increasing scales of compensation if your forms were not delivered by the advertised deadline. Without this additional insurance, Royal Mail customers receive only limited compensation.

Note however, this additional insurance attracts an additional premium. I pay the extra for peace of mind.
