Dont know what to do now

I've been using the trace & track service from Royal mail since 25.5.13 and it shows that it is still being progressed for delivery. I've been in touch with Royal mail but they are not very helpful, as a claim can only be made from 10.6.13. I'am starting to panic, as Atos are very good in stopping benefit and I would be left with nothing. Is there anything I can do?

Note however, this additional insurance attracts an additional premium. I pay the extra for peace of mind.
