Hi Folks

Re: ICB to ESA Migration. Unusually Long?

Today (Friday 31.05.13) it has been exactly 3 calendar months since Atos took receipt of my completed ESA50. I had thought that migration from ICB to ESA would be swifter than a completely new claim for ESA? I continue to receive ICB benefit at the normal amount on the normal pay dates. I have been in contact with my GP and consultants who state that they have not received anything from either Atos or the DWP. It's almost as if I have slipped off their radar ...but I know that this can't be the case.

Am I right to have growing concerns or am I being a little paranoid?

Kind Regards

There is no prescribed time for a transfer to take place and whilst three months is at the upper end of the periods we have heard, it is by no means the longest.

The length of time it takes t decide a claim is in no way indicative of the likely result, the simple fact is that claimants files are sitting in a pile on someone's desk.

You can contact ATOS for an update, they should be able to tell you whether you can expect a face to face assessment or whether they have been able to make a recommendation without seeing you.

Phone: 0800 2888 777 or 0113 230 9175

Depending on what ATOS say you could then contact the DWP, there should be a phone number on the letters you have received about your current benefit.
