ESA and support group was created by ROSIE75
Hi, I am about to fill in the new ESA50 form and I had a couple of questions.
Firstly, if you meet one of the descriptors needed to get into the support group again (I am in it at the moment) would you still, perhaps, have to have a medical even if you have provided enough information or is this unlikely? I always fill in all the spaces provided and more besides.
Secondly, at the end of the ESA50 form, on page 19, it mentions about including medical reports, by this do they mean supporting evidence off your doctor & family etc..?
Any help would be great, thanks.

Hi Rosie,
Claimants are not called for a face-to-face assessment (I won't credit it with the name 'medical'!) if ATOS feel they have enough information. I'm afraid that it is impossible to know how much they consider to be 'enough'. You should fill out each form as if it is the first, never assume that DWP have any prior knowledge of your situation.
Yes, you should send in any and all supporting evidence that you have. This could include relevant test results, letters from medics/therapists and letters from people who know you well. Don't forget that you should never send off originals (unless specifically instructed to do so), instead send a copy and keep the original.
Are you using our ESA guide?

Please comeback to this thread/topicif you have any further question as it does help us if everything is kept in one place. You will find it easily in future if you make it a favourite, or bookmark it, now
