I've just got back from my appointment with Welfare Rights and I am feeling more positive. I decided to go ahead with the appeal for the support group as she is fairly certain I can win it. She said even if I have to stay in the WRAG then they cannot force me into work until I am ready or take my money away. The only way they'll do that is if I don't turn up for any appointments. I need a letter from my GP so she asked who my doctor was and when I told her who she said that is brilliant as she gets a lot of good letters of support from that doctor. I am feeling a lot better now in regards to this. Thank you so much for all your help so far, without it I wouldn't have been able to do this.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

That is good to hear J,
Please do keep us all updated.
Here is some information on :
Work Focused Interviews
&
The Work Programme
They should not send you forward to The WP once they are made aware that you are appealing to The SG :
Do I have to attend WFIs while I appeal?
I don't know whether you have received an appointment for a WFI yet, but if you do, you can ring the JCP Adviser.
If you have problems that may hinder you traveling to a WFI, you should discuss this with them, as it is possible to have WFI's deferred, carried out over the phone, or even in one's home.
The above three options are totally at the discretion of The JCP Adviser though.
We have had quite a lot of members where WFI';s have been carried out over the phone, in similar scenarios.
