The reasons that were given by them, bore no resemblance to the application I submitted. Consequently we appealed against this decision. Has anyone else had to wait this long or had the same confusing decision made?
DLA Decision can be revised in a couple of weeks or overturned at appeal many months later, a year is definitely at the high end of the process nut we have heard of longer waits.
What stage are you in the process, I would assume that by now the DWP have completed a Reconsideration and that your file should be with the Tribunal Service?

We received a reply which suggested that because of a high volume of appeals in our area , it might take some time for my appeal to be considered. We have phoned them and been told that our appeal has been received but not considered as yet. so we are unsure as to where we are in the process. Regards Muzza
If you are still in the Reconsideration phase after nearly a year then I would suggest that you consider
making a complaint
Complaining to the DWP
and contacting your MP
Contacting your MP
Although there is no required timescale for a revision to be completed, six months is at the outside limit of what should be acceptable.
