Will I be told to apply for the new PIP instead of the DLA. I have rheumatoid psoriatic osteo athritis and am on quite a lot of medication one is methotrexate and another a biological Gollimumab anti TNF. I need quite a lot of help washing showering and daily other chores. I am very anxious now that a renewal claim has gone in. My health deteriorate after the death of my mum in 2009 of motor neurone disease and I physically did all the care needs of my mum all without hoists and outside help. Bed bathing getting her dressed toilet needs pushing her wheelchair around and towards the end feeding her too. All that physical help for my mum has taken its toll on myself. I kept the family together but started to notice pain in my spine and knees now have pain in most large joints and the smaller joints and recently my GP seen that I have a hump on the base of my neck at the back which is quite tender to touch. I suffer depression and anxiety because I did not give myself time to grieve and now struggle with daily life cause of pain and low mood. I am so scared that the renewal of DLA will be turned down. Any advice someone can give me will be greatly accepted. Thank you so much
Transfers do not start until October and because the DWP are allowing 20 weeks for a transfer will likely not affect anybody with a renewal occurring before Feb 2014, so you will be re-assessed for DLA.
