Hi All just to let you know since sending off the form to Wembley its been around 10 weeks until the dreaded "This is not a circular"letter arrived.
As you can imagine Id been hoping not to hear but the letter sets an interview date-this time not at the local job centre as last time but at a specialised private medical testing centre in the centre of London
many miles away as the time before last.
Can you please refresh my memory and inform me if there is on this website a downloadable copy of the current online tick box software questionnaire likely to be used by ATOS at this medical?
(I feel depressed since I had been hoping that new evidence not included might waive the interview but it seems everyone means everyone)

Hi J,

As it appears that you have received an appointment for an ATOS face to face assessment, the FAQ below should help you prepare :

ESA Medical – What to expect

You are allowed to rearrange once, there is further information Re : this on the ATOS website :

www.atoshealthcare.com/claimants

Regarding the LiMA software programme that is used to carry out the assessment, see :

LiMA Guide

I would treat the assessment as starting from when you leave home, and ending on your return.

You mode of travel to and from the assessment will be taken into account, whether you managed to travel alone, etc, etc.

You are allowed to be accompanied.

You could also try requesting that your assessment is recorded, there is also information on the ATOS site Re : this.

See also :

DRUK FAQ on Audio Recording of WCA Assessments

Which has a link which takes you to this PDF

Audio Recording of WCA FAQ PDF

See further information from Hansards : Here

Observations may be made from when you approach the building, whilst inside, and after leaving.

Assumptions will be made by The ATOS HCP with respect to any observations.

Hi J,

Just to add,

Not all ESA claimants have to undergo a face to face assessment.

If ATOS consider that a claimant has provided enough evidence in their ESA50 and any other extra evidence submitted, they can make an assessment on paper scrutiny alone.

We have heard from many members where they have been placed into The WRAG or SG on paper scrutiny.

A claimant cannot be found fit for work on paper scrutiny alone, they must first have a face to face assessment.

Thanks Bro That about covers it-one is left with the feeling that the paperwork wasnt enough then-so I feel like Ive "failed"already-the paperwork was not very "strong"no GP contribution and no engagement with The Mental Health Services or recent treatment plan to cite.
This is ominous as I feel the cards are "stacked against me from the get go"
and theres the feeling that they are looking to cut off every excuse they can.
However I am a strong presenter at Interview having successfully been through some 20 face to faces with Gps and Assessors over the years to get to this position.
I dont think I will re arrange in case it goes wrong or gets lost etc.
Way I see it is do your best if they cut you off they cut it off.
I wont jump through hoops in a madhouse sytem etc for £5000 a year plus £10 at Christmas its Support Group or nothing.
Thanks Again Bro.

Hi J,

Don't give up ,

We have had several members who have been placed into The WRAG or The SG after a face to face.

If you do receive an adverse decision, you can appeal it, around 40% of ESA appeals are successful, this figure increases where professional representation is gained

Good luck and please keep us updated.
