Step son advice please re ESA renewal was created by Fleur
Hi,
My stepson was placed in the support group for one year. He received an Atos letter with his ESA renewal. I filled in the booklet and posted it by special delivery. This was three weeks ago. He is still being paid but he has not received anything to say he has been awarded ESA or any letter received re a medical. I have tried telephoning the ESA dept but so far have not been able to get through to them. The line is constantly busy.
Should he have received a letter by now?
Thanks

You need to contact ATOS not the DWP, there should be a phone number on the letter that accompanied the ESA50.
To be honest three weeks is not very long, many claimants are waiting 3 months or even longer.
