Reserved judgement was created by carmind
At a recent ESA appeal tribunal the judgement was reserved.
No reason was given and I've never heard of this before.
Any ideas?

Hi c,

Reserved Judgement is generally applied where there may be a complicated issue of law. The Judge may consult third parties before making a final judgement.

e.g.The recent "Bedroom Tax" cases heard on the 15-17th May have a reserved judgement.

"Bedroom tax case

The judicial review of the ‘bedroom tax‘ was heard on 15-17 May, on behalf of 5 disabled adults and 5 disabled children. The judge has reserved judgement, which means the decision will be passed down in a few weeks. Since some of the claimants are accruing arrears because they can’t afford the contribution towards their rent, we hope the decision will be made soon." :
